Drabble or Less Challenge
Brevity, the soul of wit. So they’ve said; I don’t know. Except sometimes it behooves to get at something fast, like painting with the broadest strokes: here’s a girl’s defiant cheek, shining; here the shadow under her chin. Backstage, a man waiting to take her home. That’s all. You get a prompt, you write. The prompt changes daily. You try to get there under 100 words. Some write novels and never get anywhere. You’re better than that. The point’s to write. Make it easy, if you like, or hard. How hard is it to write 100? There, I just did.
